  • 2 parts Herradura Silver
  • 1 part fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ½ – ¾ part agave nectar

Lobos 1707 Margarita

  • 2oz Lobos 1707 Joven
  • 1oz fresh lime juice
  • 1oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2oz agave simple or simple syrup
  • 2 thin slices of jalapeños
  • Tajin or Salt rim (optional)
  • Add all ingredients into a shaking glass
  • Add ice, cover and shake for 8-12 seconds
  • Pour (strain if desired) into rocks glass

Tanteo Tequila Choose Your Chili Margarita

  • 2 oz. either Tanteo Chipotle, Jalapeno, or Habanero Tequila
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3/4 oz. Agave Nectar (or Simple Syrup)

Directions : Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled.

Rocks Glass (Smoky salt rim optional). Garnish with a chipotle, jalapeno, or habanero.

Tanteo Tequila Spicy Strawberry Margarita

  • 2 oz. Tanteo® Jalapeño Tequila
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar
  • 5-6 Muddled Strawberries

Directions : Muddle strawberries and combine other ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well
and double strain into an Tanteo-Jalapeno-Salt rimmed, oce-filled glass. Garnish with a
strawberry

Tanteo Tequila Spicy Ginger Margarita

  • 2 oz. Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila
  • 1 oz. Domaine de Canton
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/3 oz. Light Agave Nectar

Directions : Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled

Rocks Glass. Garnish with a ginger slice.

Tanteo Tequila Red-Pepper-Ita

  • 1.75 oz. Tanteo Chipotle Tequila
  • .25 oz. Mezcal
  • .75 oz. Red Pepper Purée
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • .5 oz. Light Agave Nectar (or simple syrup)

Directions: Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled.

Rocks Glass (smoky salt rim optional). Garnish with a Pepper Wedge.

Tanteo Tequila Sizzling Citrus Marg

  • 2 oz. Tanteo Habanero Tequila
  • 2 oz. Fresh Tangerine juice
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Light Agave Nectar

Directions: Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into an Ice-Filled Highball Glass. Garnish with a tangerine slice.

Tanteo Tequila Heat of the Moment Margarita

  • 2 oz. Tanteo Habanero Tequila
  • 1 oz. Passion Fruit Purée
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/4 oz. Light Agave Nectar

Directions: Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a salt-rimmed, ice-filled Rocks Glass. Garnish with half a passion fruit.

Watermelon Margarita

Wasted away again in Marga-eegee'sville. Whew, that's a mouthful!

Frozen margarita, no blender required. We also left out the simple syrup because the eegee's sweetens it up just fine, but sugar-fiends might like to add it back in. (Note: After July when you can't get this flavor of the month anymore, just use strawberry instead.)

  • Scoop of watermelon eegee's
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • tuz

Rim a margarita glass with salt. Scoop watermelon eegee's into glass. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Shake, and then strain over glass.

Tucson Mule

What is a Tucson Mule anyway? A burro.

Here we have a slushy version of the Moscow Mule, everyone's favorite frosty drink. Sometimes the ginger beer can be overwhelming if you're not into it, but the lemon Eegee's helps to round it all out and add a nice little tang. Overall, this is the best-tasting recipe from our roundup. PS: The copper mug isn't required, but adds a nice touch.

Add vodka and lime juice directly to cup, and stir. Add lemon Eegee's to taste. Top with ginger beer and garnish with lime.

Tarantula Tiki

Don't stir it too much. You want the slush to float around a little bit in the boozy moat.

Gotta pay tribute to the OG Tucson cocktail, the Scorpion Bowl at Kon Tiki. We scrapped the "scorpion nectar" and the eight shots of god-knows-what for some gin and rum, and pared the whole thing down a little bit. The result is sweet, but it's not a sugar bomb. This guy doesn't sting, it bites.

  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce silver rum
  • 1 ounce gold rum
  • 1 ounce grenadine
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • piña colada Eegee's
  • orange slices and maraschino cherries and for garnish

Fill a fish bowl glass with ice, up to about a third of the way. Add gin, silver and gold rums to cocktail shaker. Shake with ice and pour into glass. Add grenadine, orange juice and stir. Plop in several scoops of piña colada Eegee's to taste. Garnish with orange slices and maraschino cherries.

Kiwi Gin Fizz

Lemon eegee's, gin, fruit and sparkling water = monsoon masterpiece.

The gin is optional, but adults will appreciate the herbal qualities it adds to this light patio drink. Pour the San Pellegrino over the top and watch it fizz up.

  • 1/2 a kiwi
  • 1/2 a lemon
  • scoop of lemon Eegee's
  • 1 ounce gin
  • San Pellegrino sparkling water

Slice kiwi and lemon into thin rings. Arrange in glass with lemon Eegee's. Pour gin and Pellegrino over the top.

Non-alcoholic drinks

Desert Unicorn

We initially named this Unicorn Spit, but that sounded kinda weird.

The Desert Unicorn is basically lemon Eegee's with chopped fruit and whipped cream. But the edible pearl dust gives it a certain twang. Mystical powers, you might say .

  • 1/3 cup chopped strawberries
  • lemon Eegee's
  • pinch of purple pearl dust used for baking (can be obtained craft stores like Michaels)
  • whipped cream
  • sprinkles and maraschino cherry for garnish

Add chopped strawberries to pint glass. Fill remainder of glass with lemon Eegee's. Add pearl dust and stir. Top with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry.

Eegee's Raspado AKA Tucson in a Glass

Turn your eegee's into a raspado by adding Chamoy and Tajin seasoning.

We modeled this after the sour mangonada treats you get at the raspados shop. But the texture here is more like a chunky pineapple slushy, with just a hint of sour Chamoy rather than a moat.

  • Tajín seasoning
  • scoop of piña colada eegee's
  • Chamoy sauce
  • Mexican candies like mango con chile, Rielitos, tamarindos and/or peanuts

Using water or a lime wedge, rim the glass with spicy Tajín seasoning. Add piña colada Eegee's and garnish with Chamoy sauce and Mexican candies of your choosing.

What is the best hard seltzer for these recipes?

If you want to limit calories and sugars as much as possible then there are two you should use. I did a full hard seltzer taste test and two definitely stood out from the rest!

Truly and Bud Light both have the least amount of sugar and calories so if you want to make a skinny hard seltzer cocktail then those are the ones to you. Truly also has the most natural flavor in my opinion.

If you want the strongest than Natty Light hard seltzer has the most alcohol content. Sure to the purists White Claw will always be the best but I highly suggest going with Truly’s for the best all around hard seltzer.

To be honest though if you are on a budget then out of Bud Light, Truly and White Claw, just grab whatever one is cheapest. They all are pretty similar to each other taste wise and you won’t really notice much anyways when it is mixed into a cocktail recipe… with that said, still use Truly!
